Tonya has been in the veterinary health care industry since 1997 and joined us at the Austin Animal Hospital in 2004. Tonya has a true love for animals with a special affinity & soft touch for our feline patients; having led us to dub her ♥”The Cat Whisperer “♥. With skilled hands and a compassionate heart Tonya can be found performing dentistries monitoring patients before and after surgery ,assisting Dr Briggs with many different procedures; maintaining the books, in-house computers and other office management duties. In her spare time Tonya keeps busy by participating in fundraising walks/runs; gardening, reading, enjoying music and entertaining. Her beloved fur-baby, “Kaleidoscope” (a diabetic cat) is never far from her side, nor is her human Tomcat. Tonya also volunteers for the Lower Mainland Network for Animals, a voluntary registered charity in the Tri-Cities area that assist less fortunate families and their pets.
